Cooking with AJ: Spicy Buffalo Chicken Burger

Standard

I love chicken wings and any time I can use Buffalo wing sauce I jump at the chance.  This sandwich is a twist on another chicken burger recipe I previously posted.  Enjoy!!

Spicy Buffalo Chicken Burgers (makes 4)

For the chicken:

2 large skinless chicken breasts

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon chili powder

salt & pepper to taste

oil for frying, ( I use veg. oil)

For The Sauce:

3 Tablespoons melted butter

4 tablespoons or more Franks Red Hot Sauce

For the burgers:

4 sesame seed buns

shredded lettuce

ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing

tomato, sliced, for best taste add salt and pepper to tomato slices.

Directions:

Carefully cut the chicken breast in half, flatten them out by pressing firmly with your hand

Put flour, chili powder, salt, pepper and chicken in a gallon Ziploc bag.  Seal the bag and shake well.

Heat oil in fry pan until hot.  Fry the chicken for about 8 minutes per side until golden brown & meat thermometer shows done.

Melt butter and add hot sauce, heat the sauce in microwave for about 20 seconds, stir until smooth, dip chicken in sauce or brush on.

Cut the rolls in half Fill each with ranch or blue cheese, lettuce and tomato on top of the chicken.

Serve & eat!!
