When her husband publicly cheats on her, Leigh Dobbs trades her humiliating reputation as an ice queen and a hometown that shuns her for the unknown of rural North Carolina. Taking over a small bed and breakfast, Leigh sets out to restore it, her dignity and her life. Excited at the prospect of adding more rooms and a full-service restaurant, Leigh’s big plans encounter the brick wall that is Caleb Rausch. Sparks fly even as Caleb votes no on the planning commission, crushing Leigh’s dreams.
Handsome powerhouse Caleb Rausch is a man on a mission, expanding his huge corporation without encroaching on the small town where it resides. His commitment to his products, employees and historic preservation are unwavering. What’s lacking is his commitment to one woman. Caleb is the most eligible bachelor in three states, dating celebrities and models, but never settling down. Until now.
Even as Caleb forces Leigh’s expansion plans on hold, the couple moves full-steam-ahead on their relationship, unable to resist the mutual attraction. So why, after a steamy night together, does Caleb disappear for weeks? Has Leigh put her heart out there again, just to be played?
Will the magic of a moonlit night be enough to kindle their love or will Caleb’s constant disappearing act prevent him from melting this ice queen’s heart?

Merry Christmas Eve!!
If your looking for a quick recipe for the kids tonight and tomorrow I have a sweet treat for you, Muddy Buddies. I made these Christmas theme by adding sprinkles, but you can swap sprinkles for Christmas M&M’s or just void them from the recipe altogether. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!! For you folks looking for Santa this year be sure to visit NORAD, this site tracks Santa for you and I have been visiting this site yearly for great family fun.
4 1/2 cups corn Chex
4 1/2 cup rice Chex
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup confectioner sugar
Add cereal to a large bowl, mix
In a microwavable bowl, melt chips, peanut butter and butter, for 1 minute. Stir and microwave 30 seconds or longer to get the mix smooth. Remove chocolate mix from microwave and now add vanilla.
Pour chocolate mix over the cereal and mix well coating all cereal.
Add powdered sugar to bowl and mix until it coats the chocolate, this powdered sugar step can also be done in a 2 gallon zip bag, just place chocolate coated Chex in a bag and shake well. Add sprinkles or candy at this time too.
Place on a lined cookie sheet to cool. Store in a air tight container in fridge if you have leftovers. I never do!!
It’s that time again. Time to dust off the Cookie recipes and start baking. This recipe for cherry surprise cookies is my favorite. I have been making them for years and they’re a favorite of Santa’s. I know because not even a crumb is left on Christmas morning.
CHERRY SURPRISE COOKIES

Preheat oven 350 degrees
Drain cherries, set aside Cream Crisco, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in a large bowl on medium speed of an electric mixer, until blended
Add baking powder, salt and baking soda, mix to combine.
Add flour a little at a time, mix until combined
Divide the dough into 48 equal pieces Press dough into a thin layer around a drained cherry, place on a baking pan, 2 inches apart
Bake 10 minutes, move to a cooling rack and cool completely
Place milk chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons Crisco in a microwave safe bowl, microwave 30 seconds, mix and do again as many times as needed at 30 seconds each time until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
Drop cookie, one at a time in chocolate, cover completely, use a fork for best results. Chill in refrigerator to set the chocolate.
Last week I posted a recipe for homemade marshmallows. Today I have a recipe that pairs perfect with the recipe. This recipe is more of a sweet and creamy type cocoa. I have tried many different recipes, but this is by far my favorite. Hope you can enjoy this tasty drink with family and friends this holiday season!!!
16 fl. oz. heavy whipping cream
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 bag milk chocolate chips
6 cups milk, I use skim
In a large sauce pan add all ingredients heat the mix on low. Whisk all together frequently until chips are melted and ingredients are combined. If you have the heat on low it takes a good 10-15 minutes to get the proper consistency. When cocoa is fully combined, chocolate has all melted be sure to bring it to the temperature that you like and serve. Be sure to mix any leftovers to prevent getting a “skin” on top.
This goes great with marshmallows.
I am a huge Christmas Movie fan. I start watching in July during the Christmas in July holiday. I really never stop watching Christmas movies. There is just something about the lights and music and the decorations that make me happy. While making my Christmas wish list I realized I was asking for a lot of Christmas movies. I realized a lot of my favorite movies are no longer being shown on television. It makes me sad to think that my family can’t enjoy my favorite movies. With the help of EBAY I found a nice collection of older movies.
Some hard to find movies are:
The Christmas List
The 2nd Day of Christmas
A season for miracles
The Night They Saved Christmas
And my favorite A Muppets Family Christmas
I did find some on EBAY and I have one on VSH and thankfully I found I could watch the Muppet movie on YouTube.
So back to the list. I realized I might be adding movies to my wish list that I already had. I decided to gather all my movies, put it in WORD and alphabetize them so I had a list of all my Christmas movies. That’s when I realized I had a lot of movies. Rather than give you a list of my favorites, which is hard to pick I decided to show you my list of movies. Give it a look and see if you can catch one or two of these on YouTube, Netflix, Cable or Amazon. Happy Watching!!
