Winter has its own scent in my opinion, so when I smell certain scents I always think of Christmas. Cinnamon, Apple, peppermint and citrus are my top Christmas scents. There’s just something about a crushed candy cane or a freshly peeled clementine that brings back great holiday memories. This recipe is a way to use up your case of clementine’s in a fun way to treat your family and friends. I’m not sure how long these will last in the fridge or out because they always go so fast I barely get them on the table before they are all gone. Enjoy and Happy Holiday!!!
CHOCOLATE DIPPED CLEMENTINE’S
1/2 cup milk chocolate morsels
3 clementine’s, peeled
optional, sugar crystals or salt for decoration
Directions:
In a microwave safe bowl add morsels, microwave 30 seconds, mix, return to microwave if needed an additional 30 seconds or until chocolate is melted. Dip 1/2 of the peeled clementine in the milk chocolate, add to a foil lined pan. continue until all are dipped, Optional: add salt or sugar crystals for decoration. I used sugar crystals. Place in fridge until chocolate is set. About 15 minutes. Serve freshly made for best results.
I don’t have a raging sweet tooth, and so I usually skip dessert. But this recipe appeals to me because I’ve always loved the pairing of citrus and chocolate. Thanks for sharing!
