Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies with Glaze

I love making cookies for all the holidays and these fall pumpkin cookies are cute and delicious.  The glaze and chocolate chips add a sweetness to the pumpkin and make this the perfect spice cookie.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies with Glaze

2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

15 ounce can 100% pumpkin, solid pack

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

12 ounce package milk chocolate chip morsels

Vanilla Glaze:

combine 1 cup confectioner sugar. 1 table spoon milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract in a small bowl, mix well if too stiff add a bit more milk until a nice consistency.

DIRECTIONS:

Pre-heat oven 375 degrees

combine flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.

cream together butter, sugar in a large mixer.  Beat in pumpkin, eggs and vanilla.

gradually beat in the flour mixture.

stir in the chocolate chips.

on a greased cookie sheet, drop a tablespoon of the dough onto cookie sheet, baking 12 at a time.

Bake 15-20 minutes, let stand then move to a wire rack to cook.

once cooled prepare vanilla glaze and drizzle on top of cooled cookies
